Kobenhaven

Even the airport is a work of art from the graphics to the "intuitive" luggage carts. Cool AND free. Welcome to "design for life." Copenhagen lives, breathes, is creativity and progressive design. They create environments here that spark the things in your head that you forgot about.... and it makes you want to catch up fast! Even the department stores are progressive. Illums is fabulous!!!

Of course it is not cheap. Def. recommend the Danish Design Center (been there twice and both times amazing exhibits!). This time is poses the question: What will be a short commodity in the future? amidst a mock, stark white supermarket (picture an all white muji, www.muji.co.uk) selling milk cartons of 100 minutes and containers of mind+body+soul glue. cool. They even have a Denmark design postal stamp designed by Olafur Eliasson!

K, enough design mumbo jumbo. We had lovely dinners in Nyhavn and took the boat tour. Saw the new opera house. We also saw the Rising Sun - world's second biggest yacht docked there. it was beautiful!!! owned by CEO of Oracle- Larry Ellison....daaaamn. x

The Big Easy

Mourning the unfathomable disaster caused by Katrina to my favorite city in the world, my homeland. To see the city streets splashed on front pages of The Sun and The Evening Standard here in London just makes me hyperventilate from the stress....

I feel helpless...I should be home.

Everyone is safe so far. But their homes, their lives, jobs...schools....weddings. How will they transplant and continue? Even my family on the outskirts has no power, no food, no contact with the outside world. My mother said it is as bad as a nuclear disaster....

I want new orleans BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
